AMB China becomes top dog in the Nanjing region
Increases in the number of exhibitors and visitors expected – New 5-year plan supports metal industry – CCMT moves to Shanghai
AMB China has established itself as an important industry meeting point for machine tools and precision tools. From 14 to 16 October 2013 the trade fair will open its doors at the Nanjing International Expo Center for the third time. The last AMB China was very successful and was able to report further growth in the number of exhibitors and visitors with 156 exhibitors from twelve countries and 8,147 visitors, of whom 5 percent came from abroad. The event organisers are expecting further increases at this year’s event.
There are good reasons for this. Firstly, CCMT is relocating from Nanjing to Shanghai. This means that there will only be AMB China as an industry meeting point for the metal-working and metal-processing industry in the prosperous Nanjing region. Secondly, the Chinese government has set the course for the support of equipment manufacturing and intelligent equipment manufacturing in the twelfth 5-year plan. This is a development which plays right into the hands of AMB China and will definitely result in an increase in the number of exhibitors. The focal points of the exhibition at AMB China are industrial automation and instrumentation, gear cutting, welding, forming and used/retrofitted machinery. From next year the exhibition offering is to be expanded with the topics "material handling" and "production logistics", which should ensure further growth.
Various joint stands guarantee international flair
Baden-Württemberg will be represented for the second time at AMB China with a joint stand. The stronghold of German machine tool and precision tool building and the number 1 high-tech region in Europe is once again offering its manufacturers a platform to present their latest technologies and products in the partner region Nanjing. The exhibitors obtain access to a rapidly growing market. The latest figures from the VDW, German Machine Tool Builders’ Association, confirm this. China is the largest single market for German machine tool building and in 2012 built double the number of machines as the second largest market, the USA, with a volume of approx. 2.4 billion Euro (converted from yuan). The import of German machine tools increased by 14 percent in the reporting period.
The Nanjing Liuhe CNC Industrial Park presents its exhibitors at its own joint stand and thus demonstrates the enormous economic power of the Nanjing/Jiangsu province, which similar to Baden-Württemberg is strongly shaped by industrial and production companies.
Other German exhibitors, as well as interested parties from Switzerland and Austria, have also registered at an "International Joint Stand". Taiwan will also be represented with a joint stand. This provides the visitors from home and abroad with an attractive mix of companies with solutions for all application problems in the metal-working industry.
Framework programme presents trend topics in the metal-processing industry
An attractive framework programme on trend topics in the metal-processing industry and for industry sectors with huge growth potential under the guidance of well-known Chinese associations rounds off the exhibition programme of AMB China. Various conferences and seminars are organised: High-end Gear Manufacturing Technology and Equipment Seminar, organised by China Mechanical Industry Federation, undertook by Gear Technology Branch of Society of Automotive Engineers of China; Jiangsu Automation Development Forum, organised by Nanjing Automation & Instruments Association; Automation Instruments Summit Meeting, organised by Technical Committee of Components and Instruments, Chinese Association of Automation; Wind Energy / Turbine Manufacturing Technology Seminar organised by Renewable Energy Industry Association Power Professional Committee of China, will focus on advantages and the development of industries in the Jiangsu province, inviting industry authorities and experts to participate and will hold in-depth discussions on downstream industries’ trends and plans of metal-processing.
Event organisers with experience
Messe Stuttgart, as organiser of AMB China, boasts decades of profound experience in the implementation of trade fairs for the metal-working industry. The "parent trade fair" AMB, exhibition for metal-working, enjoys immense success when it takes place every two years in Stuttgart. 1,344 exhibitors (25 percent from outside Germany) and 88,183 visitors (11 percent from outside Germany) attended AMB 2012. With this impressive result, AMB is now one of the TOP 5 machine tool trade fairs in the world. This know-how and expertise of Messe Stuttgart is the guarantee for a professional trade fair implementation at the Nanjing location, together with the Chinese partner Nanjing International Expo Center. The high visitor quality of AMB China 2012 highlights this. 79 percent of the visitors who took part in the visitor survey stated they are involved in the procurement decisions in their company, either to a significant extent or on an advisory level. 87 percent of these people also want to actually invest. The vast majority of the visitors were so impressed with AMB China 2012 that 84 percent also want to come back again this year, when AMB China takes place from 14 to 16 October 2013 in Nanjing.
